Born in Heildelberg in 1965, she graduated in industrial Design in Darmstadt, Germany from 1985 to 1988. In 1989 she pursued a course in “Escuela Massana”, Barcelona.
Since 1989 she has cooperated with Alberto Lievore.
In the meantime, she has engaged in free-lance Art Direction for interior design articles in several magazines, such as “El País Semanal”.
She has published a book titled: “Childrens Only” in Spanish, English and Italian.
In 1991 she associated with Alberto Lievore and Manuel Molina, founding the Lievore Altherr Molina studio, where they shared tasks of design, consultancy and Art Direction.

It was founded by Alberto Lievore, Jannette Altherr and Manuel Molina in 1991.
The Studio focuses on product design, consultancy and art direction work for a number of companies, offering personalized solutions to the design industry. It is well-known for its furniture designs, also developing interior design projects, packaging and product designs. In many opportunities, the Studio provides seminaries and courses cooperating with several Spanish universities in forming new professionals.
It currently works for firms in Spain, Germany and Italy; its major projects being for companies such as Andreu World, Arper, Arruti, Bellato, Casamilano, Concepto Casa, Davis, Dona, Emmebi, Foscarini, Halifax, Metalarte, Perobell, Prenatal, Santa & Cole, Segis, Sellex, Sunroller, Tacchini, Thonet, Tisettanta, Verzelloni, Vibia, among others.
Award-winner with Spanish National Design Award (1999), it has received numerous awards and special mentions, both in Spain and abroad, for its work, including several ADI-FAD Deltas Gold and Silver.
It has carried out and participated in both individual and joint exhibitions in Barcelona, Cologne, Chicago, Stockholm, Helsinski, Lisbon, London, Louisiana, Madrid, Malmö, Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo. Its designs are frequently published in Spanish and international trade magazines.
